I’m horrible
I haven’t drawn anything in like a month
and this needs to change like nooowwww
but I have no inspiration
all I wanna do is relax after long weeks of work
*sighs*

I felt it was time to to kick myself in the ass and redraw a picture that I actually loved at the time I drew it.
So the picture I decided to redraw is on the left side.
And to be honest, there is no lie that I have improved, not only in my drawing but also in the coloring/use of backgrounds. But then again there are different mediums involved: the first being traditional and the latter digital.
I have nothing else to really say about it. I mean, you can see the comparison right here. And I find it funny that I drew this again almost exactly 2 years after I submitted the first.

This was supposed to be a sketch lolol But I liked the sketch so much that I decided to go full out on it, aside from the lack of background of course. What background could I really use for this?
If you can’t read my sloppyish cursive, that’s Xian. My first beloved OC. Nowadays he isn’t active but I still love him and will continue to draw him when I can.

The inspiration for this picture came from the idea between my friend and I concerning a fantasy themed rp: a trip to the world of Eorzea between my OC Horatio/Ray and her OC Nati. Eorzea is a world on the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV, but obviously that game isn’t out yet, so the world is going to be mostly from the imagination which is better in my opinion.
Anyway, I thought since Ray had pointy ears and will be put in this fantasy world, how cool would it be if he looked like Link from The Legend of Zelda? For the design, I primarily used The Twilight Princess version, my favorite of all the versions. And Navi, the precious but annoying fairy from Orcarina of Time. I just had to have her in it, too! Yes, the fairy is originally blue, but since the inspiration came from an original rp, so Navi the fairy is now -Nati- the fairy, hence the pinkness. Nati is a very pink man- err male. Not manly at all, no matter how hard he tries to be. lol

BACKGROUND
Why am I showing you all these WIP’s? Well for one, you can kind of see my process, though not perfect. I am still learning 8’D I already know to not put so much detail into the first sketch xwx
And plus you’ll get a first hand look at the most rarest forms of my art: backgrounds XD Lineless backgrounds .w. This was hard but rather fun to do. My favorite part of it was the trees.
Alas I am almost done with this. I have to color in Ray and Navi. Strange though, I am using TP as the reference for the outfit but using Navi from OoT >W> Mixing da games 8U Crossover within a crossover *A* INCEPTION
Anyways, I won’t post WIPs of everything I draw. >W> Just this one picture.
